I have never been a fan of Facebook due to its lack of customization. Myspace is much much better due to its interface and extra features.

I was totally shocked as well by MySpace's lead! Good point - MySpace does tend to be more about the quantity of connections you have, whereas Facebook is more about the quality of the people we want to keep in touch with.

Wow--I'm surprised by MySpace's lead. I stopped using MySpace early last year because it's the best F-you I could shoot towards Rupert Murdoch. I use Facebook all the time, but primarily for keeping up with people I already know, not meeting new folks.
That is probably where MS' advantage lies...the last time I was on, you could run into just about anyone (or any band, artist, etc etc) and read up about them and view their profile...whereas on Facebook you typically need to be someone's friend already to read up on them and get your interest piqued.
I'm in love with Craigslist, but hadn't actually thought of it in the realm of social networking at all...I suppose it is, but wow, at such a high ranking?!
Great post--very interesting find!
